You can book a private ceramics workshop at Estet Studio. This workshop is created for private groups and offers a relaxed and hands-on way to spend time together while working with clay.
 
It can be booked for a group of friends, a birthday celebration, team building, a creative gathering, or as a special activity for a bachelor or bachelorette celebration. No previous experience with ceramics is required.
 
The workshop takes 2 hours and offers a choice between two different ways of working with clay.
 
You can learn the traditional pinch pot technique, or take a journey to the East and explore Kurinuki, a Japanese technique where the vessel is carved and shaped from a solid block of clay.
 
Pinch Pot Workshop
The pinch pot is one of the oldest and most direct ways of working with clay. Starting with a simple ball of clay, you gradually shape the vessel with your hands by pressing and pinching the walls from the inside and outside.
You will learn how to build and shape your own ceramic vessel while discovering how the form develops through the movement of your hands. The technique is simple to learn and leaves space for each person to create their own shape and expression.
 
Kurinuki Workshop
For a more unusual approach, you can choose Kurinuki, a traditional Japanese hand-building technique.
Instead of building a vessel from separate pieces of clay, you begin with a solid block and carve, hollow and shape the form from within. The process is intuitive and sculptural, allowing the form to develop organically rather than following a precise or symmetrical structure. Kurinuki offers a different way of thinking about ceramics and is suitable for beginners as well as those who already have some experience with clay.
 
All clay, tools, glazing and firing are included. After the workshop, your pieces will be glazed and fired at Estet Studio and can be collected when they are ready.
